Our Company

Bergner Associates is a research-driven consulting firm with 10+ years of experience.  We specialize in environmental project, partnership, and funding development for non-profit organizations, public agencies, businesses and individuals.

Our company uses the principles of ecological research, social science, environmental management, and community development to create effective and long-lasting solutions to environmental problems, and to match good projects with partners and resources to make them successful.

Belle Bergner, Owner and Lead Consultant, has a Master of Science in Ecology, Evolution and Biodiversity from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Biological Sciences from Mount Holyoke College.  While pursuing her degree, Belle completed training in environmental law, management, and policy at the U.Penn Law School and Wharton School of Business.  Belle's training and professional experience allows her to work at the interface of these disciplines, and to ensure that sound science informs all aspects of her work in the environment - and her client's projects.

Belle enjoys providing professional development services to clients such as team building and challenge activities that build trust, confidence, and comradery. Belle was a Lead Instructor with the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School's Mountain Base in Newry, Maine for three seasons.  Here, she taught wilderness travel, survival skills, and personal development to teens and adults.
